Greenhouse Warming was a (re)launch event at Greenhouse Studios in 2023 that we curated as a collective exhibition and immersive installation.

We invited contributing artists to reflect on their place within the proverbial “Greenhouse,” and extended the same invitation to audiences — to consider their own position within ecological, cultural and climatic systems.

Our installation responded to the transformations unfolding in coastal ecosystems. A coastal banksia stood in the foreground, while behind it a projection of oceanic life flickered and distorted across stretched mesh panels, evoking fragility, permeability and change.

Across the weekend, the installation became a living environment — inhabited by performances, a choir, and percussion workshops that activated the space and invited collective participation.
